We wanted to reinvent the way that workers sign up for shifts.

Wagestream’s platform is used by hundreds of hospitality brands, an industry defined by high turnover, fluctuating demand, and constant pressure to fill shifts fast. We recognised an opportunity to leverage the data and trust we already had with our existing worker base, and turn it into a flexible staffing ecosystem. By connecting verified workers directly with open shifts across any participating hospitality partner, we could give companies a reliable way to fill gaps quickly, while giving workers more freedom, choice, and control.

As Creative Director, I developed a concept brand identity for the product, one that felt inherently connected to Wagestream, but distinct enough to stand on its own. I built a visual language that borrowed the familiarity of Wagestream’s imagery, while introducing a differentiated colour palette and typographic system to give the product its own personality and purpose.

Coordinated with: copy writer, strategist, digital ads manager, developers.

Tools used: Figma, Photoshop, User testing platform.

The first phase focused on designing an intuitive, accessible desktop and mobile site that made discovering and booking shifts feel simple, modern, and trustworthy. The result was a clear, flexible brand concept that could expand naturally into product, marketing, and partner onboarding, setting the foundation for a scalable recruitment platform within the Wagestream
